The Setup by Sara is a boutique styling and decorating service specializing in personalized hotel and Airbnb experiences. We design and deliver curated setups for romantic getaways, birthdays, proposals, cozy movie nights, and more. Our tiered packages are affordable, easy to book, and tailored to travelers, couples, and guests celebrating special moments during their stay. What sets us apart is our focus on aesthetics, attention to detail, and the emotional impact of small-scale, high-impact experiences.
As the visionary behind The Setup, Sara Conway leads the business with a passion for design, hospitality, and creating unforgettable experiences. With a background in project management and construction, Sara brings a rare combination of creativity and operational expertise to every aspect of the company, from client experience and branding to logistics and vendor coordination.
Sara earned her degree in Project Management from Chico State, where she discovered her love for building and organizing beautiful, meaningful spaces. Prior to launching The Setup by Sara, she interned at a general contractor construction company in Los Angeles, gaining hands-on experience in high-end project execution and customer satisfaction.
Driven, detail-oriented, and deeply connected to her audience, Sara's mission is to turn everyday celebrations into extraordinary memories, one setup at a time.
Fun fact: Sara has planned countless events for her friends and family, from surprise birthdays to romantic anniversaries, to bachelorette parties, to halloween and christmas and galentine’s parties, and loves turning even the simplest moment into something special, meaning everything from girls nights to playlists, and never misses a chance to make a checklist.
